Job Description

We are currently hiring a full-time intern to join our IT team for the summer.  The IT intern will work under the direction of our IT Senior Manager. They will be work on individual and group assignments that are designed to provide them with experience in a corporate environment and develop their information technology and business acumen.

The types of activities that the IT intern may participate in include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting IT Team with preparations for employees’ return to the office
  • Support IT business process and technology improvements
  • Interact with business stakeholders to deliver necessary system solutions
  • Analyze/troubleshoot security, performance, and connectivity issues
  • Assist in process documentation
  • Provide project support for IT initiatives
  • Provide helpdesk support, including remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and asking end user questions, identifying solutions, and aiding the end user in the resolution process
  • Interact with IT vendors to troubleshoot and solve customer issues
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in IT ticketing system
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the Required Qualifications?

  • Ability to diagnose, research and resolve basic technical issues
  • Interest in how technology can help solve business problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft productivity software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Willing to learn, study and train

What are the Desired Qualifications?

  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps and Power BI
  • Basic understanding of web development, programming (C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, R, SQL) and scripting
