Job Description

We are currently hiring an experienced DEI consultant to join our client delivery team. The DEI Consulting Manager will lead and or contribute to DEI-focused client engagements, as well as other projects across Eagle Hill’s service lines. They will manage teams and projects, develop solutions, nurture and grow client relationships, and be responsible for successful client delivery.

We want our people to grow their careers at Eagle Hill. As such, you are hired and considered for all projects across Eagle Hill; we hire for the company, not for specific project roles. Upon joining the firm, our consultants join client engagements that could fall within any of our client industries and service lines. Over time, employees are able to transition across clients and service lines to develop a breadth of experience and expertise. Specific responsibilities may vary and will be dependent on an employee’s current project role, but the DEI Consulting Manager’s responsibilities may include:

  • Developing clients DEI strategic plans
  • Incorporating DEI best practices into organizational design, talent, and other client solutions
  • Conducting DEI assessments
  • Supporting other engagements in Eagle Hill’s portfolio of industries and service lines

What are the Required Qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years total work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of external client-facing management consulting experience, and at least 1 year in a manager role leading client projects, solution development, and direct reports
  • Minimum of 4 years of applied DEI experience, including 2 years leading DEI projects for external clients
  • Extensive experience applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform DEI strategies and designs
  • Highly adaptable facilitation skills; comprehensively capturing the perspectives, views, and voices across the workforce
  • Highly developed project and program management experience
  • History of successfully leading the development of solutions through strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven track record in gaining client trust and building credibility by way of delivery excellence
  • Demonstrated excellence presenting to an executive-level audience, both written and oral
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Technical aptitude; able to quickly learn new technology platforms
  • Experience leading consulting engagements and developing and managing scope, budget, and schedule
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients to ensure the most successful project outcomes
  • Highly skilled in leading individual and team performance; experience developing others from consultants to leaders
  • Flexible and adaptable, be a leadership role model for others during times of change and ambiguity
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to successfully complete and retain any company, federal or other background investigations required to perform client work
  • Ability to adhere to company and client requirements related to COVID-19. These may include, but not be limited to: completing health questionnaires, obtaining a vaccination, providing proof of vaccination and/or obtaining negative test results, etc.

What are the Desired Qualifications?

  • Advanced Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Capital Management, Human Resources or Organizational Development preferred, MA or MS degree in Strategic Human Capital Management a plus
  • Experience designing strategic DEI plans through measured approaches, including qualitative and quantitative assessments and human-centered designs
  • Experience incorporating DEI business practices into organizational (re)designs
  • Experience guiding clients on how to align DEI strategies and the broader ecosystems of human resources, regulatory affairs, federal governance, and vendor management
  • External client-facing management consulting experience in Eagle Hill’s service lines (strategy and performance, talent, and change management)
  • Familiarity with the RFP lifecycle and desire to contribute to business development efforts
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to be resourceful and take initiative

Applicants must be willing and able to work at our Crystal City or Seattle office and at client sites throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC or Seattle, WA metro region. Eagle Hill does not cover the cost of relocation. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
